Improved
Customer Satisfaction and cost reduction can be achieved in parallel.
Matthew Clark Wholesale (Scotland), a division of Constellation Brands requested
that RESCU Solutions review their order management process, currently operated
through their Glasgow and Aberdeen depots. The objective of the project
was to specifically identify the optimum solution for improving service
levels to customers in Central and Northern Scotland.
The project required RESCU Solutions to review and develop a matrix of measures for Matthew Clark’s
customer segmentation , order transaction profile, sales value x volume
and phasing, orders by customer, SKU`s by customer, delivery locations,
replenishment processes, lead time requirements, inventories levels, profile
and throughput, number of storage locations, warehouse utilisation, staff
utilisation, and transport efficiency and cost.
The Project output not only successfully identified solutions to significantly
increase customer service levels (OTIF) whilst retaining operating flexibility
and responsiveness, but in parallel importantly identified reductions to
the overall operating cost base.
