Glenmorangie’s single malts are acclaimed for their incredible smoothness, richness and intriguing complexity. RESCU have worked in partnership with Glenmorangie since 2008, supporting their growth and expansion into the gifting sector.
Traceability within the supply chain has become a key strategic concern. As converters, the challenge for us was to ensure that we could maintain traceabilility as we convert one SKU into another. In 2014/15 we undertook a project with Glenmorangie to develop the processes required to trace batch codes, production dates and commercial traceability codes through all of our conversion processes. Following successful implementation of traceability for Glenmorangie, we now have the processes, technology and skills required to offer traceability to all of our customers.
We operate sharepoint technology with Glenmorangie, giving our production line leaders direct access to the latest assembly and quality instructions within Glenmorangie's specification system, and ensuring that receipt, despatch and production information is available to key members of both teams in real time. This is just one example of our commitment to embracing technology to increase efficiency, drive quality, and ensure that our services are a seamless extension of our clients' own processes.
Having worked with Glenmorangie for 12 years, we have been involved in countless projects, supporting their gift programmes, undertaking quality inspections, and from time to time managing disgorging assignments. We recently supported an innovative marketing campaign for the US market, packing bottles of Ardbeg whisky into "Escape" gift boxes.
The limited edition collectable Ardbone gift tin was produced in celebration of Ardbeg’s mascot - Shortie the Jack Russell. The tin is shaped as Shortie's favourite treat and was a popular job with our contract packing team. Each tin was carefully packed with a bottle of Ardbeg 10 Year Old in our contract packing facility before going to market at the end of 2019.
All businesses face new challenges as they grow, enter new markets, and experience changes in customer and regulator expectations. Our partnership with Glenmorangie is an excellent example of how we work together with our clients to continuously improve our processes and services, to support them in responding to challenges and opportunities.
