Robert Ellis – Director/Co-Owner
Robert was one of the co-founders of RESCU solutions in August 2023. With an impressive track record in the drinks industry working for domestic and international companies, working across many disciplines in his career, he was set up nicely to take on the challenge of setting the business up with Douglas, his Co-Founder. As well as still driving the business forward, Robert continues to develop customer relations in today’s dynamic market, keeping RESCU out front as the leading Premium Contract Packing Specialists in Scotland.

Douglas Reid – Director/Co-Owner
Douglas was one of the original founders of RESCU Solutions in August 2003. With a wealth of experience in the Whisky industry, having held various roles across a career spanning 18 years at Whyte & Mackay/Jim Beam, Douglas worked as the Director of Customer Service and Logistics before leaving to start RESCU. At RESCU, Douglas has transitioned from an operational role and is now very much focused on working with new and existing customers to build strong relationships and develop and expand the business through new offerings and opportunities.
Douglas was one of the original founders of RESCU Solutions in August 2003. David Fay – Head of Operations
David started with us in August 2022 and has since implemented many procedures and new ways of working to increase our efficiency, productivity and production capacity. David has 17 years experience in production, manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement from his time working at Diageo. David then gained technical experience at Pusterla working as a Senior Technician then Technical Manager, manufacturing luxury giftboxes for the drinks industry, before returning to production as Bottling Hall Shift Manager at Glen Turner then joining the RESCU team as our Head of Operations.

Sophie Ellis – Head of Planning and Customer Service
Sophie joined the team as a production assistant in 2012 during her Summer break from University and upon returning to Uni, Sophie remained with us as a part time member of the production team for a further 3 years until completion of her degree. Sophie took up a full-time position in the Admin and Customer Service team in September 2016 and has gained a wealth of experience progressing through various roles within the business. Now working as our Head of Planning and Customer Service Sophie is responsible for working closely with customers to ensure all production requirements are met and planned in line with customer deadlines.

Production Manager
Elaine Burns
Elaine started with us in August 2008 as Production Team leader. Elaine came with a wealth of experience in manufacturing having held various positions within Boots and Biofilm over a 18 year period. Elaine is now Production Manager in our custom-built packing facility and ensures the smooth running of our day-to-day production operation. Working closely with the team Elaine ensures targets are met, Standard Operating Procedures are followed and that we are compliant with Health and Safety regulations.

Logistics Manager
Mark Williamson
Mark joined the team in February 2012 as a production operative and progressed to a full-time role in January 2015. Mark obtained his Forklift and MHE licences to become an integral part of the logistics team. Mark is now our Logistics Manager on site and ensures the smooth running of our logistics operation and works to manage stock accuracy on site.

Customer Service Team
Zoe Moir – Customer Service Co-ordinator
Zoe joined the team in 2023 and has quickly progressed to become an integral part of the customer service team. Zoe liaises with our customers to ensure a seamless process when managing all deliveries and dispatches to and from site and ensures our production team have all stocks they require ahead of rework.

Alanna Byrne- Customer Service Co-ordinator
Alanna started in 2012 as an agency production operative and progressed to a full-time member of the team in 2015. Since then, Alanna has held a number of positions in production and operational admin and more recently moved to the Customer Service team in 2023. Alanna works with customers and the production team to ensure stocks are received and dispatched in line with requirements.

Simona started as an agency production operative in 2020 and moved to the admin team on a maternity cover secondment in 2021. Simona progressed to a full-time role in May 2022 and on returning to the production team worked as a line leader on our backshift operation. Simona re-joined the admin and customer service team in 2023 and is now a key part of our operation. Simona is responsible for the operational admin requirements for the production team and assists with our online fulfilment process too.
